th anniversary of Amcha Ghar
Amcha
Ghar has successfully completed 10yrs of journey towards it
goal. It is a registered Trust under Bombay Public Trust Act
and Societies Act. It caters to destitute girls since 1996
from Uttan, Bhyander-west.
On
22Oct –06 Amcha Ghar celebrated 10-anniversary function
Diwali along with residents’ relatives and single parents.
It was a wonderful day for parents where small children taught
them to make agarbathi (Sandal stick). Children performed a
small culture programme and shared sweets of Diwali, along
with every one.Children organized games for relatives and
parents of children. Thereafter all danced together.It was a
remarkable evening for the children and their relatives.
On
28th Amcha Ghar celebrated its anniversary day,
Diwali function and st Jude school patron feast, along with
school parents and different NGOs working around . MR. H.L
Rawat (Ex. Deupty secretary to CM Rajasthan)was Chief guest
Children participate from Vasai, Manori and Mira road. They
also performed some cultural item for Amcha Ghar children and
shared a Prasad dinner with us.They joined for games, Diwali
pooja ,Haldi kumkum, lighting of candle ,evening beauties hold
that evenings for audiences. It was wonderful to observe that
all the parents of school made comfortable to all outside
children. Beside that they organize 9 days prayers at St Jude
statue,at the school premises. It was school parents who
contributed for the dinner that day for all.
There
were around 300 people a band was organize for garbha by the
parents.Big and small all enjoyed the evening. Children of
Amcha Ghar perpared craft material , paintings, charts stating
details about Amcha Ghar, for the exhibition Christain
breathen organized Mass for all and Hindu breathern organize
Diwali pooja .Pooja ground was decorated by Rangoli. After the
Diwali pooja lights were put off and a prayer was whispered
that may light of Divine shine into our dark parts of life.
Mr. HL Rawat offered land to start a new unit at Ajmer in his
speech.
Our
main Anniversary function was celebrated on 29th
.Our chief guest was Mr. Gilbert Mendonca,ane guest of honour
was MR. Mohit Mattu
a TV actor. It was mainly for outsiders who have helped us and
who can help us in future. Of course, to see the artist many
other joined us.
Mr.
Gilbert released Souvenir and extended momento to wel-wishers.
Mr. Mattu performed a dance for the children and cut the cake
along with children to extend happiness to all. Beside that
MR. Moses kept up the show beautifully organized to keep the
crowd for 3 hrs at the venue. The present crowd kept them
selves in winning prizes for the evening beauties. Many people
came down from Delhi, Ajmer, Jaipur and Goa to grace the
occasion. Lion group of Bhayander requested Ms. Nirmala sawale
(Mayor) of Mira Bhyander, to visit the premises and distribute
new clothes for the children on this occasion. Mr. Archie
D`souza was so touched by work done by the Amcha Ghar for
these destitute girls. He wished them his prayers and moral
support to them for long. Mr.
Gilbert Mendonca told the public that I am always there to
assist you in whatever way you need . I am with Amcha Ghar.
